November 11, 2014




These pictures were taken outside of my house. I killed the ambient lighting and used my on camera flash. I squatted down beside the bush and messed around with my aperture until I was pleased with how the photographs turned out. I took several different photographs and out of all of them, I chose these two to show on my blog.

Like most pictures, I took these at  Texas High School. When I go out and take pictures I try to focus on showing depth and getting my histogram correct. I do my best when I take photos, I find doing so is my happy place.

I took these pictures at Texas High's track, during the time when my Instuctor sent me, and others, out to create photographs. While out taking pictures, I found this tennis ball laying in the grass near the track. I picked the tennis ball up and instantly thought to take pictures of it  lying on the track. I tried a few different angles,and also tried killing the ambient light while using the on camera flash.

I took these photographs of Misty Morris at Texas High outside of the ISS building. These photographs are few of many mistakes for my Creeper photo. I realized that I had the wrong shutter speed and was able to fix the exposure problem I had, also adjusting the aperture so I could get my photograph exposed correctly.

I took these pictures of Heather Sellers and Jennifer Johnson in Hope, Arkansas. We went with my mom whom wanted to take our senior pictures, and I also wanted to take pictures of my own with my camera. I will admit that a few of the photographs on this blog have some flaws that photographers would notice, but I love the look of these and wanted to post them.

Creeper Photograph

I took this photograph of Misty Morris outside the ISS building at Texas High. To take this photograph I used two wireless flashes that gave the light source beings I cut the ambient light out. For the shadow you see in the background, I had Tyler Beene stand with scissors in her hands, casting off the shadow to make it seem like Misty was hiding from the "Creeper".

This was my attempt at photographing homecoming. I was not happy of the outcome and know that I have more to learn about photography. Needless to say, I'm happy no one wanted these pictures..

Touchdown!!








I wanted to shoot a football game in the perspective of a fan, so I shot from the stands of the visitor side at Grim Stadium. I felt like I did good on my picture taking. In some pictures, the sides have a vintage effect because I shot several through a fence to see what the picture would come out as.
