Today in class I helped Misty Morris attempt to practice recreating a photogrpahy she wants to do. We had to get all the light from the off camera flash on the lower part only of my body, not showing the top half. As we tried to, I adjusted the paper in different postions trying to get the lighting to be correct, I almost had the correct way but Misty and I decided it was best to go ask our Instructor what he thought/knew we should do. He gave Misty good advice, also me because I was listening in, and I'm sure next time we will get it right.

New York Film Academy
With the help of Misty Morris and Tyler Beene I was able to recreate the New York Film Academy ad . They both helped me set up "my" gear into the right position, of course our Instructor pushed us in the right direction when we needed his help. I used two off camera flashes that both had an umbrella attached to them. Misty held a white board over the top of the props so I was able to the correct lighting for this photograph. I took many, many, different shots until I was able to get everything corrected. My Instructor helped me by giving me good advice to help better this photograph.

While searching Pintrest for photography tips and ideas, I came across this image that caught my eye. This is a unique image that I would have never thought of taking. Seeing how other photographers minds work is amazing, there ar e so many different ideas that are all amazing!

This is my set up for the ad I want to recreate for the New York Film Academy. I will need: a miniature trashcan, multiple paper wads, off camera flash, and possibly something to use for the background to be white (like butcher paper). I will place the trashcan 2ft away from the wall, maybe further, until I feel the distances match fairly well. The wireless flash should be on a stand, tilting down towards the trashcan, with appropriate distance. The very last thing I need to do is make sure I take SEVERAL pictures and make sure they are exposed properly and look like the ad.

For my photo assignment I would like to recreate this ad for the New York Film Academy. I will need a small trashcan and multiple crumbles of paper, although the trashcan won't be the same color as the one in this image. In order to set the props up to get the image I need, I will need to place a trashcan near the wall and fill it up with crumpled paper. In order for me to have the right angle, like the one in the ad, I will have to lay on the ground so I could get this image. I will be playing with the lighting to see what/where my light source will be and will be coming from.
