I took these pictures in my bedroom, in attempts to clear my mind. I will admit, I tend to use photography as my escape from the world around me, and it really helps me cope with things and clear my mind. I took these photos after getting my bedroom blacked out, using a LED light as the only lighting used in the picture. I hung a fleece blanket over my dresser, tacked to the wall to have a solid background color. I set my camera up on a tripod and angled it the way I wanted the pictures to appear to be. I slowed the shutter speed down so I could have time to "paint" my image the way I wanted to.  In the first image I used the plain light to make my wine bottles appear, and then placed a colored sticky note over the light and played with the lines, giving me the pink lights. The second image I used a red laser light and one of my dad's green lights, along with the white LED light. I have fun when I do pictures like these. You never really know the final result you will get when you just let lose and have fun.

Once again, this blog is just me goofing around while painting with light. I spent probably  2 hours just playing around in my bedroom. I got an idea to try and duplicate my rubber duck and was pleased that it worked out the way it did. I have to work on how much light I put on the duck because in some he turned out transparent. The last image was the best image I got while trying to do something with my light bulb. I would have more but I spent too much time on the wine glasses so my camera battery was about to die. I really enjoyed being able to clear my head while taking pictures. I will work on the technique with these pictures and become better at doing what I love doing.

This photo was taken by Kathryn (Katie) Black and really impressed me. We were talking while I was looking at her blog and when I came across this image I just stared at it. I really feel that by recreating this, I would be testing my ability and becomming better at doing what I love to do. She is a great photographer and I know she can give me some great tips. She has already mentioned to me things about my blog that I need to work on, which I will. I am going to try getting this picture sometime soon.

I goofed around today and took these pictures while waiting on Misty to text me so she could use me as one of her subjects in a photograph she wanted to create for her ATPI winter conference. Although I planned on going, I had to change those plans due to personal reasons.

These photos were taken for my friends. I had them do what they felt good with doing and took the pictures. My friends were very pleased with how the pictures turned out, as am I. I enjoyed taking these pictures, not only because I love taking pictures but I was spending time with my friends.

This was another try at the photomerging. I'm not really sure what to say about this blog.

This photo was taken at Texas High school, next to the pond. I had Tyler stand by the tree and stand still long enough fro me to take nine pictures of her. I  focused my camera once, then turned auto focus off so that the image would not be altered at all once I started taking my images. I then took three photos going down, and across giving me three rows of three. I went back to the room and conjoined the images by using photomerge on photoshop. This is the result, excluding the one image that did not successfully merge, this image looks good to me.

Taken infront of the Math and Science building at Texas High School. There are nine total shots in this image. I had her stay still until I was finished taking the pictures then merged them together using photoshop.

These photos of Alma were taken a few weeks back in front of the ninth grade building. Using an off camera flash with an umbrella, I was trying to over power the sun and get a perfectly exposed image. Or in my case, close to perfect.
